Gosia graduated from University of Liverpool in 2011 with a BA (Hons) in Archaeology of Ancient Civilisation and then in 2013 with an MA in Archaeology and joined Oxford Archaeology soon after. Since then she has worked on a large range of commercial projects including Roman and medieval rural settlements in Suffolk and Norfolk, and she oversaw the excavations of Iron Age and Bronze Age settlement in Kent. In her current role she oversees excavations on site and is responsible for post-excavation writing-up. She is also an archaeological surveyor.

Stuart has worked as a professional archaeologist since 2009, and joined Oxford Archaeology in 2011. He has an MA in Landscape Archaeology from the University of Bristol, and also a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science from Oxford University.

As a Project Officer, Stuart runs larger evaluations and excavations from project setup, through fieldwork and into post-excavation write-up. He also undertakes GPS surveys (including earthworks) and graphics work, including photogrammetric production of 3D models. Some of his major projects include excavation of a Saxon cemetery in Cherry Hinton, Cambridge, Middle and Late Saxon settlement at Trumpington, Cambridge, and excavations on a prehistoric landscape at Melbourn, South Cambridgeshire.

Stuart is a Practitioner with the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (PCIfA).

Paddy has a BA (Hons) in Archaeology and Landscape History. He has worked for Oxford Archaeology since 2014 and has worked on an array of projects since joining, covering all periods. Recently, Paddy helped oversee the large excavation of a complex Roman settlement at Wimpole Hall in Cambridgeshire, and directed the excavation at Willingham, Cambridgeshire.  

Paddy has a specialist interest in the archaeology and history of the Roman world and has a deep knowledge of the Roman historic environment. Outside of OA, Paddy provides talks and lectures on all aspects of the Roman world to a plethora of local groups and provides advice on the finds and fieldwork undertaken in the area and around the UK.

Stephen has over 30 years' experience in British, French and North American archaeology. He graduated from the University of Sheffield with a BA in Prehistory and Archaeology and has an MPhil in Archaeological Heritage and Museums from the University of Cambridge.

He is a leading proponent of Public Archaeology and has the responsibility for the education and outreach projects across Oxford Archaeology, managing the Oxford Archaeology Outreach service. Stephen has considerable experience in successfully obtaining grant aid for this type of heritage project.

He has extensive experience in project management, contracts and the heritage sector in general. Stephen is a Heritage Management and Roman specialist, and continues to pursue research projects in these areas, predominately but not solely in the Eastern Region. Stephen is a full Member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (MCIfA), a member of the Council for British Archaeology (East) and sits on the council of the Cambridge Antiquarian Society.

Neal graduated from University College London with a BA in Ancient History in 2002, and after working in other sectors, joined OA in 2015. Since then Neal has worked on a large range of commercial projects, both in the field and in post-excavation. Some of his recent projects have involved running a large evaluation (185 trenches) at East Hemel Hempstead, and overseeing the first phase of excavations at Cambourne West. Neal is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (ACIfA).

Louise has worked in commercial archaeology since 2005. She has a BA in Ancient History and Archaeology and an MA in Practical Archaeology from the University of Birmingham.

In her current role, Louise coordinates large-scale complex evaluations and excavations, along with associated post-excavation publication. She also undertakes Desk-based Assessments and Heritage Impact Assessments. Further to this, she is an archaeological surveyor, and experienced in graphics and geomatics.

Louise has a particular interest in British prehistory. She has worked extensively across East Anglia and the East Midlands, and has a broad knowledge of the historic environment. Major projects she has overseen include 27 excavations along the 60 kilometre Covenham to Boston Pipeline in Lincolnshire; a prehistoric landscape in Raunds, a Bronze Age funerary landscape in East Tilbury and a series of Bronze Age alignments made up of over 400 posts at the Bell Language School, Cambridge.

She is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (MCIfA).

Pat has worked in commercial archaeology since 2008 and holds a BA in Archaeology and Ancient History from Reading University.

In his current role as Senior Project Manager, Pat co-ordinates archaeological fieldwork and post-excavation programmes for large residential, commercial and infrastructure projects across the East of England. Major projects he has directed fieldwork for include the Norwich Northern Distributor Road for Balfour Beatty, Wintringham New Housing for Urban and Civic and Great Chesterford New Housing for Bellway Homes.

A background in heritage consultancy also means he is skilled in the production of Desk-Based Assessments, Heritage Impact Assessments, Heritage Statements, Setting Assessments and Cultural Heritage EIA chapters. Some of his major pieces of work include a setting assessment for the National Trust owned Wimpole Estate, PEIR heritage chapters for Heathrow West and Hornsea Project Four and the ES heritage chapter for the Morlais Tidal Array, Anglesey.

Pat has a particular interest in prehistoric landscapes and the transition from the Late Iron Age to Early Roman period.

Pat is an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (ACIfA).

Tom graduated with a BA in Ancient History and Archaeology from the University of Liverpool in 2002. Since then he has worked in field archaeology, predominantly in the east of England. As a Project Officer he directed a wide range of fieldwork projects, including the large-scale excavations at Clay Farm, Cambridge and infrastructure projects such as the Bury St Edmunds to Thetford Anglian Water Pipeline. His main research interest lies in landscape archaeology, particularly how landscapes developed and changed during prehistory.

Since 2015 Tom has been a Senior Project Manager, initially in fieldwork, overseeing several large excavations in East Anglia including the Norwich NDR road scheme, and is now part of the post-excavation team at OA East. In addition to his role at OA East, Tom has excavated in Israel and Egypt and has been involved long term with the Blick Mead research project, a Mesolithic site near Stonehenge. Tom is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (ACIfA).

Liz oversees the post-excavation research and publications function at OA East. Her job is to manage all aspects of post-excavation work, including the finds, environmental and graphics teams. She also edits all of the academic and popular publications produced by the Cambridge team, ensuring that the highest academic standards are maintained and that projects are delivered on time to clients.

Liz graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Ancient History and Archaeology and has a PhD from the University of East Anglia. She has considerable experience in managing complex projects and specialises in urban Late Saxon and medieval archaeology, with particular interest in castle and cemetery studies. She continues to excavate abroad and has worked extensively in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Gareth is currently a Project Officer responsible for geomatics at Oxford Archaeology East. He has 12 years experience in UK commercial archaeology after graduating with a BA in Archaeology from the University of Reading and an MA in Landscape Archaeology from the University of Sheffield. He has been directing fieldwork in the UK since 2007 and has also worked extensively on international projects, notably at Al Zubarah in Qatar, as well as in Sudan, Oman, Romania and Jordan. He has written and contributed to articles and monographs as well as publishing his own research in to Iron Age settlement morphology.

In his current position Gareth leads the geomatics team in Cambridge developing new procedures and methodologies, and tests new equipment and software to enhance OA’s geomatics capabilities. He is responsible for dGPS survey, CAD and GIS processing, 3D modelling and photogrammetry, and oversees the logistics of UAV (drone) surveys.

Paul has worked full-time in professional archaeology since the late 1980s and before that studied for a degree in Archaeological Sciences at the University of Bradford and a PhD at Bournemouth (awarded 1990). He leads the management team at OA East, and has delivered that role since 2002, spanning the acquisition of that business by OA in 2008.

Paul has managed archaeological programmes of all kinds for more than twenty years, but specializes in medieval archaeology and urban landscapes. Paul is also a medieval pottery specialist and has published widely in this area and in the study of medieval landscapes and economy. He has also been involved with the teaching of archaeology in continuing education for many years, and formerly acted as external examiner for Madingley Hall, Cambridge.

Chris has a BA in Archaeology from the University of Reading. He worked for a number of commercial units in East Anglia and London before joining Oxford Archaeology East (then CCC AFU) in 2006.

As a Project Officer, Chris directed a wide range of fieldwork projects on sites around the region, including numerous sites in medieval Huntingdon and broadacre evaluations and excavation ahead of housing development in Cambourne, South Cambridgeshire. He has produced a large number of reports on excavated sites and is a grey literature sub-editor for OA East. Chris edited the Cambridgeshire Extensive Urban Survey Reports, and has completed a Rapid Assessment Report for English Heritage's National Importance Programme Project.
