16th July 2021:

OA's digital library, which contains over 5000 items, including grey literature reports, monographs and supporting data, has had a makeover, with a new search interface and interactive map.

The new interface is designed to be more accessible and to make it easier to carry out straightforward searches. There are several new ways of searching for reports and other items:

  • In the main search bar, type in a report name, or part of one, and then click search - the results will be returned along with their location on the map
  • Search on the map by zooming and panning and then clicking on a map pin
  • Search on the map by clicking on the ‘Open address bar’ icon image and entering a place name or address

Clicking on ‘Advanced Eprints Search’ will take you to a search page where you can construct more complex queries.

Alternatively, click on ‘Search by period’, choose the period you are interested in and then search within the results for that period.

However you seach the library, do click the link below and explore the archaeology in your area or beyond!
