9th June 2014:

The Friends of Southwark Cathedral will hold an archaeology day on Saturday 14th June at Southwark Cathedral as part of the Friends' Annual Festival. The day will focus on the results of the archaeological investigations for the Thameslink Programme funded by Network Rail and carried out by Oxford Archaeology and Pre-Construct Archaeology.

Archaeologists will be present to talk about the Roman, Saxon and medieval discoveries, and following a tour in the afternoon of some of the key sites, will be on hand to answer any questions.

Further details of the archaeology day can be found on the Friends of Southwark Cathedral website.
