17th February 2014:
An exhibition of recent finds from the Crossrail Archaeology Programme, which has been delivered by Oxford Archaeology in partnership with Ramboll UK, has opened at the Crossrail Visitor Information Centre, Tottenham Court Road, London.
More than 50 recently-discovered objects, including prehistoric flint tools, a Roman cremation urn, and items from a suspected burial pit from the Black Death, are on display at the Portals to the Past exhibition, which also features exciting information panels and images.
In addition, visitors will have the chance to hear weekly talks from some of the experts involved in the project, including Julian Munby, OA’s head of buildings archaeology, who will be talking about the historic buildings of Crossrail on 19th February.
The exhibition will continue until 15th March 2014. Admission is free, although space for the weekly talks is limited. Click here for further details.
