Every week our teams of archaeologists are uncovering interesting finds across the country. Whether it is an artefact or an ecofact, each piece of evidence helps us build a more detailed picture of the past.

Join us in an exciting journey of discovery.

Field portrait of Cami

Cami is in the field in the South East region

With more rain today, Cami shared this photo from her days working on the HS2 site at Fleet Marston, Buckinghamshire. Sometimes you need to get through more than just mud to get to the archaeology...

Ed is in the Oxford office

Ed is working on some pretty spectacular Samian pottery sherds from a site in the North of England. This one has beautiful decoration representing gladiators, dogs chasing one another, and a chariot. It's so beautiful that he couldn't resist sharing it!

Jess is in the Lancaster office

Jess popped in to see our colleague Richard and our super volunteer Lynn in the Lancaster office. Here they are washing finds (spot the newly clean pottery sherds in the tray!) today. Thanks for all your help, Lynn!
