Found in Oxfordshire, this lovely teabowl rim in tin-glazed ware (delftware) has delicately hand-painted Chinese-style decoration. Possibly made at Vauxhall, London. Date c 1720-60.

Sharing a throwback photo of our team finishing excavations of this neolithic barrow with a Bronze Age burial at its center in Dorset. It’s a multi-phase monument, with earlier pits and an inner henge-form that pre-dates the main barrow.
