3rd July 2015:

Come and explore 10,000 years of Oxfords past. Get close to Tudor pots, glassware and even a Wellington boot, all from the Westgate excavations, past and present. Interesting posters and real-life archaeologists will be on hand to reveal the hidden history of the Westgate area.

Find out how the area of St Ebbs changed from fast flowing rivers created by melting glaciers 10,000 years ago to the life of the studious Greyfriars and the early scientific work of their most famous teacher Roger Bacon 700 years ago.

Every Wednesday come and join the Oxford Archaeology show and tell sessions. Meet and talk to archaeologists currently excavating on the site of Westgate Oxford and see new finds and hear about discoveries as they happen.

The Museum is open every Saturday in July and August. For all the opening times, please visit the website.

The Pop-Up Museum opens its doors for the first time this Saturday 4th July at 10am. Find us in the Westgate Shopping Centre. It is FREE! All are welcome.
