The team have been excavating a Beaker cremation burial or pyre with lots of associated pottery fragments covered in beautiful horizonal grooves.

This Roman gold ring was found by our resident metal detectorist. It has a bright green glass bezel setting, probably 3rd-4th century. It’s not everyday you find a gold artefact! #doingthegolddance
